Firm Overview

Our firm is dedicated to helping individuals through the divorce process and with other family law issues and disputes. We provide legal counseling and representation both for child related matters - such as custody, parenting time and support - and for the many financial issues that can arise in valuing and dividing property and business interests.  We also assist with the enforcement and modification of existing decrees.

The hallmark of our firm is the versatility and professionalism that we bring to bear in our work.

Versatility is particularly important in family law.  The uniquely human and personal nature of family law issues means that each case has its own distinct circumstances and each requires its own approach to resolution.  Cases can range from the simple and uncontested to those involving complex issues of child custody or division of sophisticated business and investment-related assets.  Recognizing this, we tailor our services to the specific needs and desires of our clients.  Representation can thus take many different forms: from behind-the-scenes consulting and document preparation, to assisting in a mediation process, to "collaborative law" representation, to participating in direct settlement negotiations, to full and vigorous representation including trial and appeal.  Whatever approach is most appropriate, our objective is always to work closely with our clients to achieve their goals in the most effective and efficient way possible.

Other aspects of professionalism are also important to us. We work hard to provide our clients with the highest quality representation, both cost-effectively and in a timely manner. 

We also bring extensive and broad-based experience to our work, having represented hundreds of family law clients over the last fifteen years.  This work has involved all major aspects of family law, except adoption, and also has included numerous trials and appeals.  This experience adds important quality and effectiveness to our work and to the judgment we bring to bear on complex and sensitive family law issues.
